My whole-hearted appreciation for the splendid work your institution has been doing for bringing out the talent in the youngsters! It is a matter of pride that my friend's son has performed so well and received accolades from the Managing Director of the company! Three cheers to them and happy musical life ahead!

A good, noteworthy article to understand the various aspects behind each artiste and instrument.
Bharaitya Sangeetha Vaibhavam is to celebrate Muttuswami Dikshitar with a grand Akhandam on February 28 in Chennai K.S. Ramachandran - ramachandran_ksr@yahoo.ca
I attended a good part of this programme. Heard and enjoyed about 50 kritis of the inimitable composer-saint-scholar. The musicians rendered the pieces with great devotion. On the whole, it was a fitting musical homage to Dikshitar.
Music is an extension of one's personality, says Chaitrra Sairam Prathibha - mmprathibha@gmail.com
Great! From childhood to now, the consistency of view on music is same. Hard to see this in this generation. God bless you Chaitra.

Understand the science of music to make it a beautiful art: Sowmya R.Gurumurthy - rgmurthy2001@yahoo.com
It was touching when she says music is God. Last week I went to the samadhi of the great saint Sadguru Tyagaraja Swami. I can feel and understand her statement after this.
Apoorva Ramayana of Tyagaraja Muthiah - drmuthiah@sify.com

An engaging dialogue between flute & mandolin sha Ramachandran - usha_raja@yahoo.com
As the saying in Tamil goes, "Nirai kudam talumbadu". The great musicians have created divinity through melodious performance. Where there is divinity, there is only calm & peace. A well written article.
K.Shivakumar - gada_shiv@yahoo.com
I don't quite think that Chennai is used to prepared concerts. In the traditional Carnatic music concert, while the songs may be decided upfront, there are impromptu sessions as well.
Aparna Chandra - aps07@rediffmail.com
The article is well written. Takes us through the atmosphere created at the concert. It seems to be an interesting mix of sorts!
Lalgudi Jayaraman Balasubramanian Murali
Lalgudi Shri G. Jayaraman accompanied Ariyakkudi (passed away in 1967), the great GNB (First May 1965), Musiri Subramania Iyer (senior to GNB), Madurai Mani year (passed away in 1970s) etc. So, Shri Jayaraman was playing / accompanying over five decades. (0431 - 257 8447)
