
Sayee Rakshith has been learning music for the last six years and is currently learning from Shri Rajesh Accompanying Sayee Rakshith on Sunday morning were two teenagers - 13-year-old Gomathy Shankar on the mridangam and 14-year-old Sainath on the ghatam.
Sayee Rakshith presented some of the popular compositions including Muthuswami Dikshitar’s Vathapi (Hamsadwani-Aadi), Thyagaraja’s Rama Nannu (Harikambhoji-Rupakam) and Papanasam Sivam’s Enna thavam (Kaapi –Aadi).
Mr. T.T. Srinivasaraghavan, Managing Director, Sundaram Finance Ltd., was present on the occasion and handed mementos and certificates to the artistes.
Sunday Kutcheri in the Park provides a platform for young children under the age of 15 years to display their musical talent in an informal park audience. Sundaram Finance conducts audition to select the artistes.
