Sampradaya Samvadha on October 23 to feature Kalpagam Swaminathan
CHENNAI, October 15: The third edition of `Samvadha’ (dialogue), a new face-to-face conversation series organized by Sampradaya, a three-decade-old Carnatic music documentation organization, will feature veena vidushi Smt. Kalpagam Swaminathan. This event will be held at Kasthuri Srinivasan Hall (Music Academy) on October 23 at 6.30 pm. The Samvadha will happen between Smt Kalpagam Swaminathan and Smt. Samvada is designed to provide a public platform to facilitate students, music buffs and others to have face-to-face interactions with veteran Carnatic musicians of our time.

Sampradaya kick-started the Samvada series on August 28 with a conversation featuring Sangita Kalanidhi R.K. Shrikantan. Sangit Samrat Chitravina N. Ravikiran moderated the conversation with Shri. Shrikantan. The second edition of `Samvadha’ feataured mridangam artiste Shri T.K. Murthy. Held at the Mini Hall of The Music Academy here on September 18, it saw Palghat Rajamani engage Shri Murthy in an intense dialogue.

A Sampradyaya release said that a Samvada with an yet-to-be announced artiste would also be held on November 27, 2009 at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz.
