CHENNAI, May 30: Sruthi Laya will join hands with the Australian
Art Orchestra to present 'Oceanic Dream', a contemporary Jazz
concert, here.
The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on June 5. The venue will be the Music Academy.
This is the first time that such a concert is being held in Chennai.
The Australian Trade Commissioner and Consul-General (South India), Mr. AminUr Rahman, will be the chief guest.
The Australian Art Orchestra will comprise Sandy Evans (Saxaphone), Adrian Sheriff (Trombone), Scott Tinkler (Trumpet), Philip Rex (Bouble Bass), Lachlan Davidson (Clarinet), Alister Spence (Keyboard) and Niko Schauble (Drums).
The Sruthi Laya team for the conert will comprise Guru Kaaraikkudi Mani ( Mridangam & Konnakol), V. Suresh (Ghatam), B.V. Balasai (Flute) and U.P. Raju (Mandolin).
The programme is supported by tyre major MRF Ltd. and the Shriram Group.
