The Triumvirate
- Madras Lalithangi Vasanthakumari (MLV), M.S.Subbulakshmi (MS) and D.K.Pattammal (DKP) formed the `Female Trinity'.
- MLV was known for her creativity and adventure. MS was known for her unique voice and bhakthi. DKP was known for her traditional and clear rendition of lyrics.
- MLV was famous for her singing the Purandara Das songs. MS was popular for her Meera Bhajans. DKP was known for rendering Dikshitar kritis
- All the three - MLV, MS and DKP - were honoured with Sangeetha Kalanidhi
- All the three had association with the film industry
