Vamshi Academy offers to provide concert platform for aspiring musicians
BANGALORE, July 8: Vamshi Academy of Music Trust®, a decade-old organisation formed to promote Indian classical music, is embarking on a fresh initiative to help the cause of young artistes. The new initiative is aimed at providing Carnatic classical musicians below the age of 40 years a concert platform. The Trust has decided to make use of the newly-built hall “Vaamshika Sadana” to stage concerts.

The Trust has asked those who are desirous of giving concerts at the Academy to send in their latest performances in a CD format. The CD presentation should be of 30-minute duration. The CD with the bio-data of aspiring musician along with his/her photograph should be send to the Academy in the address given below. The CD should contain “a varnam, a kriti of any composer (with raga alapana and swara prastara) and one tillana, says a release from the Trust.
