SBOA student V. B. Bhavna presents vocal concert at Sunday Kutcheri
CHENNAI, August 6: V.B.Bhavna of SBOA School, Annanagar, presented a vocal performance for the Sundaram Finance Sunday Kutcheri at Nageswara Rao Park in Mylapore on August 3, 2008. She was accompanied by Thalaignayar S Harishkumar on the mridangam and by J. Shraddha Ravindran on the violin.
Mr. Paramesh Krishnaier, Executive Director, Sundaram Finance, was present on the occasion and presented certificates and mementos to the artistes.
Bhavna presented a variety of kritis such as Samana Rahite (Saranga Tarangini Ragam, Roopaka Thaalam), Thulasidhala (Maaya Malava Gowla, Roopaka Thaalam), Thathvam Ariya (Reeti Goulai, Aadi Thaalam)and Chinnan Chiru Kiliye(Raagmaalika).
Bhavna has been learning music under Shri Ajay Namboodiri, a disciple of Shri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. She has also been learning to play violin for the past five years.
